The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Post by Link1 on Sat Jun 19, 2010 3:35 pm

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is an action-adventure game currently in development by Nintendo EAD for the Nintendo Wii. It makes heavy use of the accessory "Wii MotionPlus", which is required to play the game. It uses a graphical style similar to The Wind Waker, but has a bit of realism from Twilight Princess, which Shigeru Miyamoto described as an "Impressionist" style. The game was the first to be shown in E3 2010, and has since created a developed fanbase.

The subtitle of the game, Skyward Sword, is a "living" blade, which later in the story, becomes the famed Master Sword. Not much else is known about the story of the game, but it is currently known that Skyward Sword seeks to instill new puzzles into the Zelda series, and will have a higher difficulty compared to past Zelda games.

DISCLAIMER: THE LEGEND OF ZELDA SERIES IS OWNED BY NINTENDO, AND THE ABOVE INFORMATION WAS HAND-TYPED BY ME, REMEMBERING WHAT I SAW FROM NINTENDO'S E3 STREAM. IT MAY OR MAY NOT BEAR SIMILARITIES TO OTHER INFORMATION, BUT THAT IS IRRELEVANT.

Skyward Sword looks really tough, the (first?) boss dealt two hearts worth of damage to Link, and the dualwielding Stalfos deals a heart worth of damage, I think. SS is a game that needs to be released, NOW.
